The MPower Champion program is a nationally recognized model for hands--‐on collaboration surrounding carbon reduction and sustainability in businesses, organizations, and schools. Sustain Dane facilitates the program, now in its fifth year, and works directly with organizations to design, implement, and measure a customized sustainability strategy, connecting them to expert resources, proven methods and best practices, and support in their effort. Isthmus is a proud graduate of the latest group of MPower Champions.  Over the last year, we implemented specific projects to make our business more sustainable.  The projects varied from adding motion sensors to lights in the manufacturing area, to adding remote controls to fork trucks to minimize the length of time overhead garage doors remain open.  As a result of our efforts, in combination with other members of the program, MPower Champions collectively boast an annual reduction of 26,500 tons of CO2 emissions and cost savings of over $930,000.
